Krasniqi rules out the possibility of PDK being part of new government, without elections

The deputy head of the Assembly from the PDK ranks, Memli Krasniqi, in the KTV interactive, has said they will not be part of new calculations to form the new Government, while stressing that they would prefer elections if it were not pandemic. “Position PDK has a continuation, our stance cannot [...]
“Position The PDK has a continuation, our stance cannot be different because the elections are held on 6 October and our position will change until the next elections. Our position will continue and will be in the constitutional provisions. Wessel has today met with the president and made it clear that we will be the basis of no calculations aimed at power”, Krasniqi has said.
He says that because of the pandemic elections at these moments are impossible, so they are for another way out of this political stalemate.
“Secula opposition party, is trying to hold elections in another week, and in this context we can't have any hesitation in the elections, but because of the situation we're in, it's not worth it. No one can say with full confidence how long this state of pandemic can last. It is impossible to predict when elections can be held. We are for the respect of constitutional provisions that provide a way out for this political stalemate”, Krasniqi has said.
He says the Kurti Government has lost the parliamentary majority.
The government has lost the parliamentary majority. The essence of democracy has to do with creating a majority representative in the Assembly. It is MPs who can at a certain moment change attitudes and aim to create a parliamentary majority. The legislation defines the Assembly. We are not interested in doing any such majority”, Krasniqi said.
He says the Constitution does not rule out government being formed in the second round.
“We are in accordance with the Constitutional Court Act. The Constitution does not rule out the possibility of the government becoming in the second round. If we have the same situation, that no party expresses willingness or willingness to create Government, then we go to the elections. The constitution considers the successful no-confidence motion to be a resignation. In the Haradinaj case, no one has expressed readiness to create Government, and if even now there is no readiness then the elections are inevitable. But we don't know so far, we only know about The PDK will not be part of such initiative”, Krasniqi has said.
He says they have no interest in working with any party, including the LDK.
“Secilla party holds responsibility for its statements. We have never expressed the will to have co-operation with parties that have emerged from the last elections”, he said.
He has criticised Kurt, who days earlier at KTV, had declared that if it were not for pandemic on the day of no-confidence motion there would be protests in the square.
This anarchically mentality is wrong, because no one can think that with projections of protest can undo the will of citizens expressed in elections, and after elections that will be represented by MPs. The idea that there would be protests, even there could be, but it would be pressure on MPs, and that is violation of the law. Protests are legitimate, but the idea of preventing the implementation of the citizens' will expressed through MPs in my opinion is a tendency to harm democracy. In the sense of constitutional interpretation, it cannot be said to be a violation (the change of position by the LDK) because MPs assume responsibility to be the voice of citizens”, Krasniqi has said.
