The Council for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms has condemned the threat case of PDK MP Eliza Hoxha, who through social networks has been threatened with life.
To KMDLNJ “this represents human rights violations as well as efforts to prevent and prevent MP Hoxha's work, but also all who have recently been threatened”.
It is of concern that threats through social networks have turned into a disturbing phenomenon for Kosovo society and that investigative organs and the State Prosecutors should be taken seriously by this phenomenon”.
” If the threat becomes the silent manner of the political opponent and not just politics and we have no quick response and in accordance with the laws in force, then democracy will become very vulnerable to the fact that one of the basic human rights, the right to freedom of thought, freedom of movement to the right to life”.
KMDLNj requires quick investigation so that the threat/atts be brought to justice, where the motives of the serious threat to MP Eliza Hoxha would be clarified.
By the end of the investigation, this council seeks not to prejudge the case.
