Today, with April 10th, 2019 International Monetary Fund Executive Directors Board (FMN) approved financing for Kosovo worth 52m eUR. The approval of this financing has been made possible after a series of discussions between the Ministry of Finance and Transference and IMF team on the assessment of the economic and fiscal impact of measures linking with the COVID 19 virus.
This funding comes in a very critical period for the country, and in this case the Ministry of Finance and Transference estimates high the swift mobilization of the IMF technical team and the immediate approval of this funding from the Executive Board. In the coming days and weeks, we also expect approvals of financing from other international financial institutions, as part of our mobilization for finding additional sources of funding, following the budget gap created by recent events.
