Italy has seen some signs Friday of improving the coronary situation, even though the number of victims caused by the Coronavirus, COVID-19, has increased to 766, respectively, to 14,681.
In the new data released by the Civil Protection Service, the number of new infected people has dropped by 4 percent in one day.
The number of cures, meanwhile, has increased by 17.3 percent to 19,758, respectively, over the past 48 hours.
Lombardia, Italy's worst hit region, has registered a slight increase in patients in intensive care.
“Shifrat is improving. Hospitals are starting to breathe”, Lombardy's leading medical official, Giulia Gallera, said.
Coronavirus, however, has seriously damaged Italy's hospital capacities and hit this country's economy badly.
Italy has been the first European country to have closed everything except for pharmacies and grocery shops on 12 March.
The closure and ban of public gatherings will be in effect until 13 April.
Italy has the world's largest number of casualties, while it is second with the number of infected, after the United States.
