Haziri: It is not time to mourn, but to follow strict measures

The mayor of this municipality, Lutfi Haziri, in an interview for KosovoPress has said that with the aim of being respected in the best manner of this measure, final preparations have been made since yesterday.

Haziri said that today they are facing mainly clarifications and instructions on how to issue circulation permits based on this package of these measures.

The “Brenda Gjilan has been implemented all measures from 0600 in the morning, everything is in operation we're facing today mainly with clarifications, law enforcement guidelines in package. But in general there are no problems that are strictly implemented and, of course, the findings that will arise as obstacles from these new package measures we will address to the Ministry of Health for us to pick together. Of course, during the day we have two new findings that we can resolve jointly later“, Haziri said.

Lutfi Haziri, who is also deputy chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, says it is not time to find the blame, but these measures must be implemented. And that the discussion of whether the state of emergency should be declared or not should be resolved by the Government and the Assembly of Kosovo.

“has lacked a direct pre-relative communication prior to the final warning, because we mayors have actually been waiting for the austerity of measures because it has been our request. We've asked that quarantine not occur after infection is released in certain areas, it takes precautionary measures, the preventative is better than responding to the situation after we have a large number of infected people. But I believe he's faced... Now is not the time to mourn, and it is not the time to find the offender to apply all these measures. Now the political discussion about whether they are the tools of the state of emergency, should the state of emergency be declared, should it increase the role of the Republic Parliament, are issues that must be resolved at the level of the Republic, where the Government, the Parliament in particular, must find a way that does not allow trouble to descend into the community and descend into the neighbourhood, villages and so much more in cases where we have infected”, says the head of Gjilan.

With the new package of measures that have entered into force today, Gjilan's first one says they have faced some trouble, while expecting them to be resolved in co-operation with the Ministry of Health.

And one of the problems that we have is the ban on low construction that includes sewers and infrastructure problems we are in the part of planning to implement tasks because it's closely related to public hygiene with public cleanliness and of course the intervention with small jobs fixes us and gives us a safer environment for prevention because it has to get rid of the warehouses of the farmers in the fields... The farmers in the fields are chosen as a problem we're launching a permit, he stressed.

While in the municipality of Gjilan 24 cases have resulted in positive with COVID19, 14 of them are fully displaced and 3 are partially healed. Haziri says that all such cases are contact cases.

So far in Kosovo with positive COVID19, 387 people have resulted, 66 of them have recovered, and 9 people have died.
