Yesterday morning, a 70-year-old from Prizren Corisha has passed away at the Infectious Clinic while being treated for coronarys. For this, it is still not known who was the source of the virus infection until this village is now in quarantine for four days. The Prizren municipality has so far distributed 850 food boxes to poor families who do not receive social assistance.
Prizren Mayor Mytaher Haskuka says of Kosova Preris that the situation with COVID-19 is under control of the municipality and all necessary measures are being made for preventing the virus.
Because it has failed to find the source of the infection, the quarantine of the village of Ko rishe and the entire area has been quarantined. And quarantine will continue for 14 days, according to the decision because the source is unknown. The person in question has passed away, I here once again comfort the family for the loss... but the question is that because of protocols and because of the safety measures the quarantine will continue for another 10 minimum days, because four days ago it started”, Haskuka adds.
He has appealed to citizens in Corisha to respect the measures, since it is not yet known who the source of the infection has been.
Among other things, Haskuka says Prizren is implementing measures imposed by the Kosovo government. Meanwhile, it shows that five people have filed criminal charges for disrespecting these measures.
Five people have been filed criminal charges for failing to respect their assets, especially those in restaurants and cafes. At the same time, however, there were arrests last night because of a lack of respect for the movement - the ban on the movement after 6:00. On the other hand, in the job of preventing economic problems here, the government's fiscal package is a good thing, but at the same time we've distributed around 850 food and sanitation boxes to families that are in need. These are families who are not of social assistance but who are actually families who have been working without contracts are in very serious condition. We will continue in the future with food distribution and hygienic tools”, Haskuka claims.
In addition to these services, Prizren's first one says they have formed a team of psychologists to provide services over the phone for those in need.
“Today the Municipal Assembly was called to carry tools from 2019 to 2020. While, in terms of tools to fight COVID-19, we as a municipality have enough tools, because we have allocated budgetary vehicles of goods and services, whether for disinfectation, for purchasing preventive tools (darks, gloves), for food and sanitation packages, and for “Al-Comuna” All of this has been divided, and I believe these are enough currently”, the mayor of Prizren's municipality points out.
So far in Kosovo, 170 people infected with coronarys have been registered, 24 have recovered, while four have already lost their lives.
