Through a Twitter post, German Ambassador to Kosovo Christian Heldt said Germany welcomes the government's decision led by Albin Kurti to lift the fee on Serbian and Bosnian goods.
Germany welcomes the government's decision led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti to fully remove tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is an important prerequisite for restarting dialogue for normalisation. The task now is to gradually rebuild confidence in the EU-led process”, Ambassador Heldt said.
He also said that existing complaints like non-tariff barriers should be resolved by countries. Heldt also added that Kosovo and Serbia must face the situation created by COVID-19.
The existing Anques as non-tariff barriers must be resolved by other countries within the existing EU framework. The EU has offered support here, which should deal with the creation of a circulation level of goods on both sides now. The two countries -- Kosovo and Serbia -- must face an unprecedented challenge to the Coronavirus. This is not the time for political maneuvering, but to concentrate on overcoming the health crisis wrote away Heldt.
