If measures for businesses are not softened as the countries of the region and the European Union are doing, the economy and the private sector in Kosovo will suffer far from expectations.

Warnings that there will be no relief measures for the entire chain of the economy sector in May in our country, the private sector will be mired.

So says former head of the Kosovo Economic Ode, Safet Gerjaliu, who said there is no alternative but to ease measures for businesses.

Kosova Preessu says if there is no opening of the economy, as the countries of the region are doing, economic recovery will be difficult.

Health Ministers have warned that by April 30th new measures for citizens' movement will be made public and the opening of several businesses to prevent corruption, while actual measures are power until May 4th.

There is no alternative but to tame these measures and pro-business orientation. We need to learn from the experiences of countries in the region, such as Germany, Austria, countries in the region. Montenegro will open on 15 June, as will Serbia. While, if Kosovo will remain outside this economic moment, it will indeed be a relief that will further damage the private sector's position. So in this direction we are for the protection of citizens and public health, but all of this has to be in line with economic processes and development. Because there can be no recovery without the economy, and in this direction I believe it is time for the economy to become more than in particular the private sector, which is a pillar of economic, political stability and for improving the image of Kosovo”, Gerjaliu says.

The former OEK chairman has also spoken of World Bank projections, which Kosovo's economy is expected to suffer a 4.5 per cent decline. This economic downturn, according to economic expert, is a signal that Government really should treat the economy with high seriousness and professionalism.

He says the economic downturn minus 4.5 per cent is disturbing and Kosovo should take more decisive steps for private sector recovery and support.

The <x0).UGS of economic growth are not only the phenomenon of Kosovo, but also global and in particular are hit by the most powerful global economies. If China is designed to have a negative trend, it will be reflected directly in the US, even in Europe, but it cannot be immune Kosovo in this direction. These predictions are expected and I believe, but what concerns us is that more concrete steps must be taken in Kosovo for private sector recovery and support and minimize the economic or political consequences of the coronary... Therefore, such a decline should be an additional motivation for the economy to become more... Kosovo should not waste time just in Sancing the consequences of this crisis, but to find ways to build and develop the economy after pandemic”, he says.

Otherwise, it has been reported that from the start next month, it is expected to start opening some activities in Kosovo. It is expected that the Ministry of Health will determine the dates when work gradually begins on certain types of businesses. Back to normal MSH, it's divided into five stages, but it's still not decided when the boundaries and airports will be opened.

For the movement of citizens and the opening of several businesses in the first week of May, the money to make way for the construction sector will, in part, open up automotive and retail trade.

As of May 18th, citizens will be able to move for more than two hours, when railway transport is expected to open, but all of this by respecting the rules including social distance and protective measures as gloves and masks.

Opening urban transportation is expected to take place in early June, when exams at universities could also be held. And by half of June, you will be able to run your senior and arrival test. Until gastronomia and urban traffic is envisioned to open at the beginning of July
