Microsoft's co-founder has accused world leaders of not investing in medical tests and equipment earlier, when the virus emerged in China last December.
In an interview for the BBC, Gates said that “only some states will get the A” grade for the way they have responded to the risk caused by the world-ridden disease that has been in the last three months, the Express broadcasts.
“We should be able to do diagnostics within a month, we should be able to have therapeutics within four months and a vaccine in less than a year”, he said.
1.7 million people worldwide have been infected with coronarys, 22,000 have died and 44,000 have recovered, according to the University “Johns Hopkins”.
