Ferizaj seeks health materials

In Ferizaj's municipality yesterday, 18 people have been infected with the COVID-19 virus. The first of this municipality has said they are doing everything to keep the situation under control, while the KKMFs are not sufficiently equipped with health materials.

Ferizaj Mayor Agim Aliu considers necessary measures to be taken as a local level to prevent the spread of the coronary. According to him, however, limited movement of citizens is not enough.

It's not enough just to drop tape for the ban, because citizens are going through it and attending the squares. So our whole focus should be what to do with the time when it's free movement because it's affecting public health security and it can turn into a more opportunity to spread COVID-19”, Aliu says.

He already stresses that they have made the decision that no service in municipal administration will be done without protection. Among other things, he says of Kosova Prees, that the QKMFs in Ferizaj are not sufficiently equipped with health materials.

We have had and continue to have requests from the main Family Medicine Center, either from the regional hospital that there are insufficient materials, respectively, the measures they ask for. We are waiting for the government to share more contingents for all municipalities, including the Ferizaj municipality. In order to be more supportive of those who are doing the war, and those whom we should actually defend because without them we cannot wage war for those who are infected”, Aliu adds.

He also speaks of the person who died in the Ferizaj region.

One that is unfortunately dead, but in fact after death has been found to be positive with COVID-19. Because he's gone about all the other issues and there's been completely different clinical symptoms. But after the deaths, measures have been taken and proved positive”, the mayor of Ferizaj municipality points out.

Agim Aliu says there is a small number of domestic testing, but also in Ferizaj.

We've been looking for the central institutions and the last few days, which is everyone's request already, that there be as many tests as many.. .. often, citizens showing certain symptoms that are similar to those of COVIDD-19, when central institutions are announced to run tests, they refuse”, Aliu says.

In view of the measures taken, businesses are now closed, and for this, Aliu says the municipality he leads is most contributing to the state safe. It requires that at the session, which will be held in the Kosovo Assembly, the fiscal package will further support the business community. /
