The Belgian government will present a plan on Friday to ease the deadlock measures destined to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, Prime Minister Sophie Wilmès said.
Wilmes told the newspaper Le Soir in an interview published Sunday that the country will take a gradual approach “step-by-step” to lift restrictions ) but it can regain tougher measures if the virus resurfaces.
On Friday we will have a plan that means how we will start and describe the next steps,” she told the newspaper. “This plan will be accompanied by a whole series of” conditions.
Wilmès also suggested that the relatively high level of the death of Belgium's Coronavirus is an overestimate, as deaths in nursing homes from the alleged cases of COVID-19, which are included in the country's reports, are unlikely to be caused by the disease.
The Belgian government last week lasted its impasse until May 3rd, holding isolation measures, in addition to some minor changes “to make the situation more bearable”, Wilmès said on Wednesday.
