The dismissed government answers to the presidency: Kurti is legitimate prime minister

The incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has presented the idea to the EU for forming two negotiating teams for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. One political representative and the other professional and advisory. But immediate has been the presidency's reaction, in which it is said the outgoing prime minister has not consulted with President Hashim Thaci as foreign policy leader.
Even from the presidency, they have said Kurti does not have the political legitimacy to lead with dialogue as they estimate he is fired from the Assembly.
But the government's spokesman in office, Kryeziu, has said that such an idea stems from the competencies and constitutional responsibilities which the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo has had, but at the same time has also been backed by last June Constitutional Court's act.
Kryeziu has declared that Kurti will continue to play his combative role until the election of the new prime minister.
He has even invited all institutions involved in negotiating teams to be part of joint work.
“As long as Prime Minister Kurti continues to be in office and office, he certainly acts as prime minister until the new prime minister is elected. These proposals and suggestions, and the idea is in the context of preliminary preparations for restarting dialogue so that these serve dialogue whenever he is willing to resume. And the proposals are finally within the competencies of the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, and we extend the invitation to all institutions which are represented in these teams to be part of these teams together with political parties so that we can create a broad political compatibility and ultimately, once and for all, to be represented in a voice on issues of national importance”, he said.
Asked whether Kurti consulted in advance with him on these teams, Kryeziu said the consultations would begin now.
He has said that, in contrast to the past government, Kurti has a far more legitimate and competent team, whose prime minister will lead the country, while the president and chief speaker will be part of the team.
“Proposal has come as a result and a consequence of the constitutional responsibilities the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo has. After this presentation, I believe discussions will also take place with all those who are scheduled to be part of this team. Although we cannot condition that they are part of this team, but we believe that this is the first time that a team is formed with interilateral, inter-party representation, which differs from the previous government's proposal, instead of having two co-directors, has a leader and instead of two co-directors being mayor of the deputy prime minister, has a prime minister as leader of this team. And unlike that proposal, there is actually a prime minister in the compound who is willing to take responsibility even that belongs to him, but also imposed by the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo”, he said.
Besides the president, the opposition is rejecting such an idea, praising Kurti's lack of legislation to lead with dialogue.
The incumbent prime minister has sent EU special envoy for Kosovo dialogue Miroslav Lajcak the negotiating team's list of dialogue with Serbia on April 3rd.
The team composition is: Albin Kurti prime minister and chairman of the negotiating team, Hashim Thaci president, member Vjosa Osmani ʹ head of the Parliament, member LVV representative, LDK representative member
representative PDK member, AAK representative- PSD member, representative of NISMA-AKR, member, representative of the Serbian List, member and representative of Group 6+, member.
