Germany has more people who have recovered from coronary than active cases, officials say. Over the past 24 hours, Germany has had 2,537 new positive tests, sending totals to 127,854, reports the BBC, broadcast news.
This is the fourth largest number in Europe, but slightly more than 50% of them have been recovered.
In Spain 37 percent of the 166,831 infected persons have been restored, in Italy 22% of 156,363, in France at 21% of 133,670. In Great Britain, 85208 people have tested positive, but only 0.3% of them have been recovered so far.
Germany also has a lower mortality rate, which is attributed to widespread testing, so among positive tests are many patients with only mild symptoms.
Chancellor Angela Merkel and senior state officials will meet on Monday to discuss a possible easing of the entire country.
