The number of Coronavirus affected in Albania goes to 475, first case in Kukes

The Ministry of Health has released the news today, while reporting the latest data concerning new cases confirmed following tests conducted on persons suspected in the last 24 hours.

The map of the affected lies for the first time in Kukes, while expanding in Tirana and Shkodra.

A day earlier, 21 new cases were recorded, with a frightening spread in Shkodra, where 13 new cases were identified in just 24 hours.

In the 24 hours we've left behind, we'll let you know that work has been under way on the ground for identifying new cases and tracking random contacts, positively confirmed.

There were 236 suspected persons yesterday, of whom 45 are health personnel, mainly at the Shkodra hospital. Of the test results, eight positive cases have been confirmed with COVID-19, out of which 6 cases in Tirana, 1 health personnel in Shkodra and 1 health personnel in Kukes.
So far 4306 suspected cases have been tested, and they are confirmed positive with COVID-19, 475 cases.

As seen by the graph, the trend of the positiveity of the tested samples shows a sustainability of confirmed cases, mainly over the past two weeks.

24 citizens have not won the battle with COVID-19, despite extraordinary efforts of health personnel.

During the past 24 hours, another 16 patients have been added to the list of cures, bringing the number of cures from COVID-19 to 248.

We're informing you that there's 37 of them at the actual effective service. Five patients are in intensive therapy, and 1 of them are ingathered.
At COVIDD 2 “Chiefs Rudoku”, nine patients down. Seven patients are in intensive therapy, and four of them are assembled.
46 patients are currently receiving service in two hospitals.

The map of the affected by COVID-19 lies for the first time in Kukes and expands to Tirana and Shkodra.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection urges citizens to continue to respect social distance measures. At this point, it requires responsibility on the part of citizens to respect the needed distance between one another and to maintain personal hygiene.
