Ge Judeesus has issued a new warning at the time when many countries have begun to ease the restrictive measures presented to curb infectious disease.
He did not specify why the epidemic situation could deteriorate even further when it is known that by now some 2.5 million people, over 168,000, have been affected.
“Trust us. The worst has yet to come. Let us prevent this tragedy. Many people still don't understand this virus,” said Ge Judeesus to the media in Geneva.
He claimed that the pandemic with COVID-19 is taking place for the first time in the last hundred years, and it commemorates the 1918 Spanish Rieties that killed 100 million people.
But now we have technology, we can prevent disaster, we can prevent this kind of crisis,” added Gebreesus.
