BQK: Citizens continue to demand postponement of credit payments

By 31 March 2020, the total amount of requirements for delaying loan installments is 1.3 billion euros, or 42.5% of the total credit portfolio. The banking sector has responded positively to the demands of business and physical persons for delaying credit payment, where 98% of the requirements for postponement have been approved for legal persons or businesses and 86% for physical persons. The amount of loans approved for the extension is around 1.2 billion euros.
In the sectoral context, businesses make up the majority of the requirements for postponement of 930.38m euros, or 30.3% of the credit portfolio and 71.5% of the total amount of demand. As far as physical persons are concerned, the total demand totals 371.49m euros, or 12.1% of the credit portfolio, where 39.5% of them are requests of physical persons who are employees in the private sector.
