European diplomacy chief Josep Borrell declared today that the Western Balkans will not be sustainable without a clear EU perspective.
In his speech to the Eurodeputs, he said the lack of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina was the most difficult issue in the Western Balkans.
For having a clear perspective, The EU must work to resolve the differences between Kosovo and Serbia,” stressed Borrell.
He also said the new EU special representative for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, took office a week ago and is in contact with the authorities of both sides.
He is still setting up a team and let's give him time to see how he can help both sides continue the talks,” said Borrell.
He added that Lajcak is an experienced diplomat who will be continuously engaged in the region with all parties, including the UN and the US, broadcasts Kosovas.
