The new board at KRU Pristina: This company's financial report is negative and lost

The chairman of this board, Mentor Hyseni, said the financial report on this company is negative and lost. He also raised the issue of technical losses as a result of water loss 57 percent.

Hyseni has proposed to the management to change its goals of planning water production and billing to reduce the company's operational and technical losses.

As for capital investments, Hyseni has asked for clarification from the management of this enterprise for increased spending.

If capital investments such as value have increased or increased projects, the number of projects, or the cost, because they are two different issues. If the number of projects has increased, it has been a success of the company, and if more money is spent with the same projects, then we have been effective. This report needs to explain these issues. Then, at the part of the water theft, that's why I haven't seen how many criminal charges were made”, Hyseni stressed.

While the head manager's task manager in KRU “Prishtina”, Sokol Xhafa before the board has justified commercial and technical losses.

He said that expenses are higher than in 2018, for buying unworked water because of the impact of drought. Also, energy costs are the largest at the Shkabai water plant, according to him, while in 2019 the number of employed has been higher.

“Water loss unfortunately in our company is relatively high, and not only, because we know that losses to, unfortunately, not only in Kosovo, but across the region have high trends, but we are hoping that with our staff and the will to work I consider will work hard at reducing these losses and rising performance of the company. In terms of billing, the company has scored a 1 percent increase, normally goals have not reached 100 percent, but we can say that there is an improvement in destiny. The cost of surgery and maintenance is higher than in 2018 because of certain activities that have affected their growth. We've got a raise in salaries and staff because the number of workers has been bigger than in the preceding year”, Xhafa stressed.

During the report before the new board, Xhafa stressed that the challenge remains the loss of water, which is 57 percent, especially from water misuse in villages, while adding that by 2019 alone, over 54 million cubic metres of water have been distributed

According to him, the COVID-19 pandemic has also hit this company, but hopes that these commercial damage will be restored.

In 2018 the planned revenues were worth 15 million and 999 thousand euros, while in 2019 the planned revenues were worth 15 million 840 thousand euros, and there were already a total of 14 million and 392 million and $388, which, according to the management, has a fulfillment of the plan up to 91 percent.

The interim board of KRU directors “Pristina” has not approved the financial report for 2019, due to the changes demanded by the chief chief chief and members.

On the agenda of today's meeting was also the treatment of wages in this company, where they were said to be high and should be drastically reduced. At this meeting they unanimously agreed to discuss a dignified and competitive salary on the country's market.
