Albania's Assembly Meetings Today in a Month, 22 Legal Initiatives Voted

With only two hours available, deputies equipped with gloves, disinfectant masks and a distance of 1.5m from each other in parliament will discuss 24 cases.

After a month since the outbreak of pandemic in the country, today is the first time Albania's Assembly will meet under strict measures.

22 legal initiatives will be discussed since changes to the Penal Code, health ministry norms for measures against COVID-19, review of the 2020 budget, release of a category of convicts, for delaying the payment of an income tax tranche for businesses, two President Meta's decrees for return to the Anti-Definance Law and the Anti-Decision package for the OFL share of asset selection.

Also expected to be voted off the commission's activity for the Electoral Reform, which should have ended on March 15th.

Meanwhile, no MP will be on the podium. Lawmakers will stay as far apart as possible, some in the games and at the media's location.

Only three VAT camera will be allowed in the hall, while the session will not last more than two hours, Tch reports.
