Abdullah: LDK take the shit and find a solution

He in an interview for Online Economy has said that by not sending the name of the Vetvendosje mandate, he is creating grounds for inaction and that this issue be considered by the Constitutional Court, which will then decide who has the right to form the new Government. He has said the Democratic League of Kosovo to be as active as it is not to bypass the situation and be aware that when it has collapsed the government, it must take the shit in its hands and find the way out because citizens deserve it” he added.

Abdullah, who has also been adviser to Isa Mustaf during the time of prime minister, has said that political unity without democracy should not be established, calling on the emergency situation that has been created by Coronavirus' pandemic. According to him, we should create social distance but not a distance from democracy.

Whatever the current situation is and no matter how the constitution can be interpreted, it should always be taken into account that we have a way out. If this area of inaction is created, which is used by Vetevendosje not to send the new candidate for prime minister then, it forms an inaction basis that can in some way be called rights abuse, so that this is then considered by the Constitutional Court. He has said that it would be good for Vetevendosje to send the mandater's name for prime minister, because right now Kosovo needs a Government that effectively fights pandemic and turns it into the US agenda.

The best “to send from Vetevendosje the candidate for prime minister. It should be seen that there are opportunities for Vetevendosje to do so. She must be aware that there is a decision by the Kosovo Assembly that by 82 votes refuses the government to lead more than that. He has said it is unreasonable to continue with this government until elections, because the government is divided.

While the constitution is not respected and we have such a disunited government under these circumstances it is irrational to say that this can be continued until the next elections. No, it's time to respect the constitution, we have a government that has brought down itself and is taking unilateral action. We have the functional assembly where it proved it can act legally properly. It is required by the Democratic League of Kosovo that it be as active as it is not to bypass the situation and be aware that when it brought down the government it must take the shit in its hands and find the way out because citizens deserve it” he added.

According to him, if long Vetevendosje sends the mandate's name, we must address the Constitutional Court.

“Respecting the laws and constitution belongs to the first party Vetevendosje if this period is abused and prolonged. If there is no way out, we must rely on the constitutional court. If the constitutional court gives LDK access, then it is in its right if she has won a lot of votes one less than LVV has all the rights to do so, but it should be very active. Hence, it should be respected in all circumstances. The Constitution should not be violated now because we do not know how much this could get worse”, Abdullah added.

Abdullahu has stressed that Kosovo's Constitution must be changed, but this can be done under calmer circumstances.

“Conditions can be solid, ours requires changes because there are various faults and we must be bold to make changes but must be required under slightly more calm circumstances. We are the Parliamentary Republic and we have the constitution as a guide not only legal but political. But in the near future, this too needs to be taken into account for changing constitution”, he added.
