13 workers at the Emergency Medicine Centre in Pristina have been sent to proselytize, at the recommendation of the National Institute of Public Health.

The decision came after a patient passed away as a result of Covid19, and the same, QMU workers had visited him several times before he went to the Infective Clinic.

The director of Health in the Pristina municipality, says they are well organised with the remaining staff in Emergency, to continue the work despite the lack of colleagues who are already on the property.

The 59-year-old man who passed away from Corleone had lived alone in the capital's “Ulpiana” neighbourhood.

Workers at the Emergency Medicine Center had visited him several times and had contact with him for ever having to help him physically.

After confirming that the same life has changed, the National Institute of Public Health has recommended that health workers who have had contact with it be sent to their own capacity.

The director of Health in Pristina, Bujar Gashi, has told Kosovo Press that this decision in co-ordination with the Ministry of Health has been taken for security reasons.

The “Day is understood that one of the patients who visited the city's emergency workers has been confirmed with Ovid-19, and the same one has died. Now that we've received the information about the patient with whom the emergency teams were taken, in consultation with the National Institute of Public Health and the Ministry of Health, this decision on security issues has been made on”, Gashi said in a telephone response.

He has made it known that there is currently a lack of medical staff, as their reshuffle has become.

We are able to function normally with the capacities we have had, with four teams on the ground, normally with a reduction in work or a increase in hours of some of the health workers, but we manage to cover them with this capacity, if eventually in the future there is no further cut in the number of workers”, Gashi said.

As for the situation in combating the spread of Avid-19, Gashi says the situation in primary healthcare is under management.

“Defence measures, the capacities of safeguard clauses for healthcare workers are satisfactory as we speak. We do not lack the basic basic basic means, and specific safeguards, so we expect to have additional supplies from the Ministry of Health, from our personal supplies”, Gashi said.

Kosovo has entered the 4th week of confronting Avid-19. So far 145 cases have been confirmed, of them 23 healed and three dead, while 22 of the infected are from Pristina.
