Eight of the possible vaccines have been approved for clinical trials on humans. Of the groups approved for clinical studies in people, four are from China, one is from England, one is from the U.S., and another is a combined American and European group.
The National Institute of Health in the US (NIH) was the first to start testing the vaccine against the Coronavirus on 16 March.
So far, 231 thousand victims have been recorded worldwide and more than 3.2 million infected.
