Yashars' towers at risk of collapse, Government's doing nothing

Towers of the family of the legendary commander, Adem Jashar, who is a symbol of national freedom, continue to be in poor condition. Even this 22nd anniversary of the KLA era, these towers were found untrained and unreserved. The former director of the Memorial Management Agency, Idriz [...]
The former director of the Memorial Management Agency, Idriz Blakaj, who says the state of the towers is not good and is in danger of collapse, visited today.
According to him, Kosovo governments have promised to invest regardless of value, but that nothing has been done to date.
Blakaj for Kosova Preis said the towers are ready to collapse, and if the towers fall, then no other investment is worth it.
“The state of the towers is seen, all these incoming visitors see what the situation of the collapse is. Unfortunately, 21 years have passed and towers are still uncontained, even though the governments of Kosovo, which all of them have come to power, have promised to invest and not to leave, neither for material means nor for commitment, but will fix these towers. The biggest disaster that is that towers are about to fall, and if the towers fall down, the Prescas's meaning is the towers and they are the tomb of martyrs, if even the towers are destroyed then what it means, what value is there in the investment that is made here”, he said.
Blakaj said that while leading the agency, it was a project in 2015 for the conservation of towers but was opposed by many.
He said that if that project had not liked the authorities back then, then it had to become a youth and become a conservative.
Blakaj said there is danger that a great wind or even an earthquake will once again endanger the tower.
Why don't they raise their voices until the towers are fixed, but to this day the towers are left. If that project didn't like someone who had had to have had enough time to do the next project, even to do the conservation. There is danger from a great wind or a distance of any earthquake that occurred in Albania, the towers fall, and when the towers fall, they no longer return to the state they have been”, he says.
Despite lack of investments, Xhevat Imer, guideroni at the memorial complex “Adem Jashari”, says there have been half a million visitors in the last five years.
Its last five years has been the year that most visitors have had, some half a million visitors have only visited this year, not counting the holidays. During these three days, however, it is a tremendous concern”, he said.
Citizens who have visited Precasine and Memorial “Adem Jashari” say the situation in which the towers are left is shameful.
Flamur Salihu, who is from Presevo and lives in Switzerland, said he has a wish from his grandfather to visit Prekaz.
It is pointless for him how Kosovo institutions have left the towers unattended.
I live in Switzerland, I'm Presevo's, I've been left with my granddads every time I come out to visit this historic place and I've prayed to God for the UCK Age, present physically here. Every time I come here, I feel pride for this Yashhar family. Kosovo's government can leave this country this way, but I believe that as soon as this needs to be fixed”, he said.
Even citizen Kadri Osmani says it is a great shame for institutions not to take care of this country, as he calls it sacred.
“Here is the Mecca of Albanians, the one who tells Albanian vet he must come here and visit. So for Kosovo institutions, it is a great shame that they have left this holy place today”, he said.
Care and visits to the memorial complex “Adem Jashari” in Prekaz for citizen Rexhep Fetah is a national duty.
I consider Prekas visit a national obligation. Truly this family has given it all to our nation”, he said.
There have also been visitors from Albania today. Frrok Bardi, from Mirdita, says Prekazi is a holy place for Albanians.
This is a holy place for all Albanians, and from this country I appeal to all Albanian politics wherever it is to think more Albanian about our lands and our people. This is a sacred place for me and must be for every Albanian”, he said.
In honour of the 22nd anniversary of the KLA Age, throughout the day, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani have been held.
