Women have warned that on March 8th International Women's Day, they will march because they estimate they have nothing to celebrate.
They will seek gender and social justice in Kosovo, resisting and combating the patriarchal system, which they say oppresses and discriminates against every day.
On Sunday, at 12: 00 p.m., we gather at Bayset “Zahir Pajaziti” to march for social justice and gender equality, for a more fair division of private and public, for dignified lives without sexism, oppression of gender, social and economic injustice. As we march, we oppose all forms of injustice committed to women. March precedes the women's collective strike with or without labour contracts. On Sunday, we go on strike to counter discrimination against women. We go on strike and refuse any job, first or second shift, unpaid or paid. We refuse to work on Sundays, which for women is not a vacation. On March 8th, we march and resist and oppose this patriarchal system, which is oppressive, unjust and degrading to citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”, a Facebook report said.
