Kosovo President Hashim Thaci will hold the media conference today at 1600.
The president has requested a session in the Kosovo Assembly to report about the meeting he had at the White House with National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien, Ambassador Richard Greenell and Serbia's President Alexander Vuciq.
Thaci was denied the hearing request, by Chief Prime Minister Vjosa Osmani, who in her response has said that she would have to be notified earlier.
The president himself earlier said that it would have to be possible to report to the Parliament because it is an institution that cannot be usurped.
It is my constitutional right if I am unable to report to the Parliament, my only opportunity as president of the Republic of Kosovo elected by the assembly to address citizens through the press conference to convey what happened in Washington. I am determined that all commitment is fully transparent. If someone has a dilemma by now, the last meeting has cleared up everything. We are blessed, our meeting has removed all dilemmas and puzzles, it is a process of secure US leadership role. All Kosovo leaders are replaceable, the US role is irreplaceable”, Thaci has declared.
Meanwhile, the President's Office announces:
President Thaci holds a news conference at 1600, the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, after returning from the United States today (March 4th 2020), at 4:00 a.m., will hold a press conference.
