“To prevent such damage, along with the deputies of other opposition parties, we have invited tomorrow, at 15 o'clock, an extraordinary session to question this irresponsible Government in relation to its approach to the United States of America”, Veselin said.
The opposition leader has invited Kosovo's citizens, on any political distinction, to raise a contentious voice before this danger, with unpredictable consequences.
Kadri Wessel's full statement:
Honored citizens of the Republic of Kosovo,
The Democratic Party of Kosovo takes with serious concern recent warnings about Kosovo from our strategic friend, the United States, to withdraw military troops and suspend development programmes worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
As never before, this sacred alliance between Kosovo and the United States of America is being put at risk by a Prime Minister unable to understand and act aright, by a Prime Minister without vision and without responsibility.
Unfortunately, more and more of this government is proving to be a danger to the overall national interest.
This danger comes from this government that has no willingness to take responsibility and decisions in the interest of our country and our citizens.
The damage you are causing is severe.
The damage has already become enormous in relations with our strategic ally and our position in international relations.
To misuse position in Government, and for weeks to bring Kosovo to the risk of national security, it is unprecedented.
You may be left, you may be right in free Kosovo, but it is unacceptable and dangerous for these ideas to confront our state interest!
We only have this country of clear national interest.
To prevent such damage, along with MPs from other opposition parties, we have invited tomorrow, at 15 o'clock, an extraordinary session to hold an account from this irresponsible government in relation to its approach to the United States.
I invite the citizens of Kosovo, on any political distinction, to raise their voices to this danger, with unpredictable consequences!
