Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Kadri Veselini has commemorated the Izbica massacre.
Wessel says that with Izbiica, human tragedy took on unprecedented proportions and stands as evidence that Albanians prevented Serbs only because they were executed, writes the news.net.
Furthermore, Wessel says Izbica will not be forgotten. He says that responsibility must be required to be brought to justice and to receive deserved sentences.
This is his post:
Today, with pain and reverence, we remember Izbiica, the place where human tragedy took unprecedented proportions, 147 citizens were massacred by the Serbian Army.
Izbica's massacre is evidence of the genocide that all of Kosovo faced in the past century, evidence that Albanians prevented you just because they existed.
We will not forget these crimes committed against our people, we will not forget Izbica and their unbroken soul, because Izbica is the seal of our quest for freedom and independence.
For the 147 Izbica victims and the other massacres committed in Kosovo by Serbia, we must demand that those responsible be brought to justice and receive due sentences for past crimes.
