Turkey's Health Minister, Fahrettin Koca, confirmed the third death of the new coronary (COVID-19), reports Anadolu Agency (AA).
Speaking to lawmakers in parliament, Koca said the latest victim from the Coronavirus is former Earth Forces Commander Aytac Yallman.
His “Test (first) was negative, however, his relatives were also tested and some of them resulted positive”, Koca said.
“In such a case, the test result may be negative at first, but it can be positive later ... The number of deaths (from COVID-19) is three”, he said.
Born in 1940, Yallman served as commander of the Earth Forces between 2000 and 2002.
Since the outbreak in Owan, China, last December, the disease, known as COVID-19, has caused thousands of deaths worldwide.
