“All generations of Americans have been called to make sacrifices for the benefit of the nation”, he said, recalling the mobilization of Americans during World War II.
“Now our turn. We have to sacrifice ourselves together, because we're all in this situation together and we're going to get together”, he added.
The American president also announced the closure of the border with Canada, his second economic partner, in addition to substantial travel and goods.
He hoped he could reopen the borders after 30 days.
