Trump Administration: Kurt's decision is not enough, he has to take the fee off completely.

A source within the United States government has written about Radio Free Europe that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's decisions are seen as a way to buy time.
This is not enough for the US. Why wait? This looks like a way to buy time. Our position is that tariffs should be completely removed because they damage Kosovo's” economy, this American official has said.
This statement comes after the decision taken Friday by the Kosovo government to lift the fee for importing raw materials from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti wrote on Facebook that “voted by 10 votes for and 2 abstentions the decision to free 100% import of raw materials from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
Kuri, among other things, has said that by April 1st the Kosovo government will issue another decision on putting in reciprocity measures instead of 100% tariff
The 100 percent tax was imposed by the past Kosovo government in November 2018.
The United States and the European Union have consistently opposed the implementation of this move.
Recently, some US senators have said that if Kosovo does not lift the fee and is not fully committed to peace, the US should consider the possibility of withdrawing troops from Kosovo.
This stance is also supported by the White House envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Richard Green.
The tax has been cited as both rationale by the Democratic League of Kosovo for obstructing the ruling coalition with the Vetevendosje Movement.
Apart from the disappointments over Agim Veliu's dismissal from the position of interior minister, LDK leader Isa Mustafa has said he disagrees with the stance of Prime Minister Kurti for gradual removal of that move.
For this reason, Mustafa has cited the launch of procedures for no-confidence motion against the Kurti government in the Kosovo Assembly.
