Scary figures, 349 dead in Italy from the Coronavirus

Italy on Monday has reported 349 new deaths from corruption, bringing the total number of victims to 2158.

Recent data from the Department of Civil Protection shows that the number of infected persons also increased by 12 percent, bringing it to 23 thousand and 73 totals.

The Italian government is still hoping that severe isolation measures will affect the halting of the major spread, although the numbers of increase in cases are still disturbing.

To provide assistance to businesses and families hit by long isolation, the Italian government on Monday approved the long-awaited 25 billion-euro economic package, writes “Anadolu”.

Italy is Europe's most affected country. The first cases there were confirmed in the northern part, more precisely in the Lombardy region.

The government has closed schools and has placed the entire country in full quarantine as an attempt to combat further spread of the Devov 19th virus.
