Today protest by balcony against the political situation

“Replication” tonight organises a protest across the country against the current political situation in Kosovo in times of pandemic crisis.

Citizens are invited to come out of windows or balconies for five minutes tonight and make noises with different tools that are not as dangerous as keys or pots and spoons.

All this to require reflection from all political parties and institutional leaders in Kosovo towards the created situation and the panic that every Kosovo citizen is experiencing.

“Today, citizens of Kosovo in a time of pandemic are facing the personal and party interests of Kosovo politicians. At a time when all of Kosovo would have to be united and unified to work on managing the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Kosovo politicians are misusing their political power to create dramas and uncertainty at a time when the country must be mobilised against the pandemic of virus”, the organisers' announcement said.

According to them, the revolt and protest from the balcony has a large and historical symbol in Kosovo's citizens, as during the 1990s, Kosovo citizens, from their balconys and windows have used various tools that create a noise to express revolt against the oppressive system of the time.
