His wife, the 72-year-old Cornwall duke, had also been tested but had not proved positive, yet had entered quarantine, writes the BBC, translates Periscopi.
A royal palace official has said the prince was in good health and was following the government's restrictive measures.
Prince Charles spent seven days in quarantine at his home in Birkhal.
Buckingham Palace earlier said that the Queen had recently seen his son, and the heir to the throne, on March 12th he had good health.
