The 100% tax on Serbian and Bosnian products, imposed by the former government “Haradinaj”, is turning out to be an apple of contention between government and opposition parties, but also between the ruling coalition itself. Government chief Albin Kurti had proposed a seven-point plan on February 19th warning the partial removal of the tax since March 15th, with Kurti cerrast setting some conditions on Serbia so that the fee in the future could be removed overall.
But this has been rejected by the LDK, which is seeking to meet the request of the US strategic partner and to lift taxes in full. On the other hand, separate parties, which estimate that the tax should be removed only when Serbia recognises Kosovo as a state, wrote away “Zer”.
Meanwhile, as the political spectrum in the country remains unconfirmed in relation to the tax on Serbian products, Serbia on the other hand is continuing its denigration campaign to Kosovo. During this week Serbia announced that Sierra Leone has also drawn recognition of Kosovo, bringing the number of recognitions to eighteen.
