LDK threatens Kurti: Either we're listening to America or we get out of the government.

Tonight, the Democratic League of Kosovo will come up with its final stance on removing the tax on Serbian goods.

Sources Journal Blic Within the LDK, they have announced that the headship of this party has decided that tonight we should stand up and have to make it clear to Prime Minister Albin Kurti that it has two ways: either tax removed as the United States of America is looking for, or the LDK will leave the government.

 “Tonight we come out with our final stand. Even Mr. Kurti, it's not possible to continue. American pressure is at the highest point it's ever been. The Democratic League of Kosovo has repeatedly made clear to all that reports with America dare not endanger any person, whoever he is. We will eventually demand that the American call be heard for tax removal, or the LDK will no longer be part of the government”, The source told him. Journal Blic.

On the other hand, LDK officials at private meetings reported to Prime Minister Kurti that they cannot wait indefinitely for the decision to be made.

Even, they have told Kurti that for LDK, disobedience to the US request will follow the departure from the Kurti Government.

That the LDK is seriously considering leaving the government if Kurti does not change his stance, Democratic League Chairman Isa Mustafa and the first deputy prime minister, Avdullah Hoti, have said.

On Sunday, Isa Mustafa, through a long status, made it clear that the LDK could not stay in Government if there were to reject American demand and jeopardise relations between the two countries.

“Since the beginning I have expressed openly, perhaps among the only ones, that the fee first 10 per cent and then 100 per cent -- assigned by the Haradinaj Government -- had no economic reasoning but was set to protect against failures, especially in foreign policy. Serbia's president, Vuciq, awarded the fee the dimension of conditioning the dialogue. So when the possibility of deals with territory between the two presidents -- the Serbian and Kosovo -- emerged, the tariff slipped into the levering of this harmful dialogue. Then I supported former Prime Minister Haradinaj for the continuation of the fee.
Following last year's European Commission elections, and especially after the US's very active engagement with President Trump's special representative, Ambassador Grenelli, the tariff remains objectively only as a relic, which is serving Serbia as a victim in the international arena and some in Kosovo as the only tool of a unstable political cause. No one is convinced that Kosovo forces Serbia to recognise it through the fee. But the overwhelming majority are convinced that the US, in the first place, and the EU can convince Serbia through the process of dialogue, to recognise the state of Kosovo. I want to believe that tomorrow's Assembly of the Parliament will give support to the Government and Prime Minister Kurti to lift the tariff. Take it off like the United States are looking for. I am not sure that any of the parliamentary groups or deputies of the Parliament or government have found a stronger, more meritier and more dedicated partner than the US for Kosovo state and citizenship. Nor is a path more hopeful than European and Euro-Atlantic integration. If anyone wavers, the LDK, its deputies and members of the government will support without reservation and with full confidence and conviction the immediate removal of the fee, and not only is it looking for our strategic partner The US, but we are convinced that this is in the interest of the state of Kosovo. If Serbia does not stop the campaign against Kosovo and avoid trade and economic barriers, the LDK remains committed to applying reciprocity measures after a period the Government accords with the US and the EU. IM”, Mustafa wrote on Sunday.

Even the first Deputy Prime Minister in Kurti Government, Avdullah Hoti, has been vocal in the matter.

That day before, he said LDK would withdraw from the government if threatened.

This was not a decision. Government decisions are not made at press conferences. No decision that the ruling partners disagree with can be advanced. A government that stays isolated from internationals, then LDK does not stay in that government. We can't stay in something like that. We go out.

Our request has been continuous that we should sit down and constantly agree as government”, Hoti said.

And, the other deputy prime minister, who comes from Vetevendosje, Hakki Abazi, has given signals that American troops can withdraw from Kosovo.

He has said that United States President Donald Trump could remove American troops from Kosovo.

Vice President Trump also in his first election promise said he would return all American troops to the country”, has expressed Ahaz.

Ahaz compares Kosovo's agreement with Serbia to the US peace agreement with the Taliban in Afghanistan, for American troops to leave Afghanistan.

Three days ago, an agreement was signed with the Taliban, which clears the way to turn all American troops from Afghanistan to America”, remembered Abazi in Rtv Dukagujini.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Kurti, despite American insistence, has been determined he will not listen to their calls for the total removal of the customs fee against Serbian goods.

In Kurti's decision, it has even become clear that if within two weeks the fee is suspended, Serbia will not reflect on Kosovo's independence recognition campaign, then its government will impose economic and political reciprocity on the Serbian state.

But that has been opposed by the US Special Minister for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Richard Green.

He has even in a reaction to Kurt that “is playing a dangerous” game.

Neither the LDK is supporting Kurti's idea, as Yerenelli's warning has been seen with much recognition of local policy.

They have warned that American patience is going to an end, while saying there may be serious consequences for Kosovo.
