Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has spoken before those present at the central manifesto held in the “Adem Jashari” barracks.
Commenting on the sacrifice of the Jashar family, Kurt said that 22 years ago something had happened that even the world had not seen, writes the news.net.
“Today, 22 years ago, even on the same day, March 5, 1998, was Thursday, a new situation was occurring. Something extraordinary was happening that the world had not seen. The Jashar family was fighting a fascist state. It was this family, it was Adam Yashhar of Hamez Jashar and baca Shaban who once and for all told us that when freedom is in question there is no force that can repel”, he said.
Kurt said that the people had been put before the family with their sacrifice, and he felt that the people were changed.
He said Kosovo wants a strong and professional army, and in that form it will invest in it.
“Jashaw had put the people over the family, and they changed the people because they joined him. Everything changed forever. We want a strong and professional army that protects our territorial integrity, and we will increase investments in the military. We are a free - loving people who do not submit, the army is a need of time. Our alliance with NATO is necessary and our membership in NATO and the EU should be accelerated to prevent the influence of foreign powers”, he said.
Kurti from barracks “Adem Jashari” gave political messages, while calling for overcoming political differences in foreign policy.
“We cannot face differences in foreign policy because it violates our integrity. When we disagree and make mistakes in domestic politics they lose leaders and parties. When we disagree in foreign policy, Kosovo loses. The US wants a strong and independent Kosovo that protects and advances its interests. The KSF may look like a small power, but it is a worthy partner of NATO and the United States. We were taught that nothing is possible without self - sacrifice and unity. Their debt is repaid with self - sacrifice. I seek unity, despite the differences we have”, Prime Minister Kurti said in the end.
