Kosovo citizens' state reserves suffice

Kosovo has a state reserve with basic products, but it is turning out not to be enough in case of any disaster or the possibility of showing the coronary pandemic in Kosovo as well. In the state reserve, they are accumulated either in agro-food products, from salt to canned meats or all [...]
In the state reserve, they are collected or kept in agro-food products, from salt to canned meats or all kinds of food products, wheat and then oil and essential drugs.
State Reserve Department Director at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Arton Mucaj says that on the basis of the population, supply of these goods is also made.
He has assured that in reserve there are agro-food goods with thousands of tons, millions of litres of oil, wheat with thousands of tons, which we own in stock stocks of the reserve department.
But for the exact amount and location of the deposit, Muçaj re proved to be confidential.
I said, for value, we have millions of liters of oil, we have thousands of tons of food goods, we have essential drugs with thousands of packages... The amount and value of food goods are regarded as classified, state secret, but with full responsibility I say we have millions and thousands of food items”, Mucaj says.
While the chairman of the association “Consumer”, Ceatin Kacanik says there is not enough reserves.
“We as the new state, however, have managed to make state reserves that are regulated by law, but the amount is symbolic. Depending on how we calculate it, it turns out that this reserve is not enough for two hours, but not for 20,000 citizens. However, it is a reserve, and I have mentioned this three days ago the possibility of state reserves to influence prices or hinder price hikes. There's not enough backup”, Kachanic says.
Even the chairman of the Kosovo Economic Ode, Berat Rukiqi, stresses that state reserves should be made transparent and distributed when necessary.
In cases where there are export restrictions from one country, we need to have alternatives especially for products that sometimes know how to be problematic, which may be wheat, but I also think the recommendation that we've given during the day, state reserves, we need days on where we have them and how much we have them. We should also be prepared for their activism in case of a need for the”, Rukiqi says.
In the last two days, the majority of citizens in the country, due to panic over lack of goods, have been in charge of stock supplies for basic goods, even though businesses in some cases raised prices.
