Despite the pandemic crisis that has engulfed Kosovo this week, KEDS and KESCO are providing non-stop electricity supplies. But with the spread of Coronavirus and the quarantine of the population, demand for electricity has undergone major changes. This, after demand has dropped from commercial consumers - the economy and has increased to 15 percent for household consumers. Another increase, even greater, is expected to occur from Sunday, when the temperatures are forecasted to drop dramatically and to exacerbate weather conditions, including snowfall, respectively.
KEDS and KESCO are fully prepared to avoid any situation. Our teams are ready, as are the machines.
KEDS has taken preventative measures, making continued maintenance and investing powerfully in the distributive network that it had inherited in poor condition, completely re-in place in hundreds of municipalities. As a result, the situation today is markedly improved. In many settlements, however, citizens are heating up at once with electricity.
Consumers need to be careful to increase their energy spending, as with recent coolings, overloads have been created that have sent to overexploitation of assets, which have resulted in a system malfunction for infected parts.
In these circumstances, taking into account the necessity of the electrical energy supply at this infertile time, KEDS prayed for all consumers to take maximum care of electricity use, using it in the most efficient way possible and saving it, especially where they can do so. This would greatly ease the burden of KED and KESCO for providing as much quality and continuous services.
For any unusual situation that could be caused in any locality designated by atmospheric factors, KEDS asked all citizens to immediately report the company to a free issue of 0800 791 00, or electronically, especially through social networks. The teams will immediately be presented in the sancing of any evental deterioration by severe atmospheric factors.
