Isa Mustafa: In no case will we lose friendship with the US

LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa has recalled the importance of Kosovo's friendship with the US, which, as he said, is built by former President Ibrahim Rugova and which he claimed we will not lose in any case.

The branch of the Democratic League of Kosovo in Gjilan today has marked the 30th anniversary of its establishment, which was founded on 4 March 1990, at the helm with Musa Qrimin, as the first chairman.

LDK deputy chairman and chairman of the Gjilan municipality Lutfi Haziri said that in Gjilan they have never left their political resistance.

He said that their action and deep confidence that this ideology protects the family of the Republic and in faith in God have reached their place today.

“This political party founded by Ibrahim Rugova, this country except that it gave the identity of a republive to you and to a people who are now leading and deciding on their own, he also gave democracy and with this democracy everyone wins in Kosovo. We pray to a man who founded this Republic as a painful and only compromise in the Balkans to stop the blood of war. We pray to the man who at the time of bloody wars in the time of the former Yugoslavia is indicated differently”, Haziri said.

He said that the LDK's big return to Christmas in 2013, learning from their mistakes, is the rightest and best way, never allowing the citizen, the LDK member, to err. “In their functionaries, the LDK functionaries, we never repeat this error, and this is a guarantee that we will continue walking towards major successes”, he said.

LDK Chairman Isa Mustafa said they are the first party to begin resistance, a sacred resistance at the helm with our historic president, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova.

“It is President Rugova, who with the greatest loyalty walked this path, who failed to live on the day the Republic of Kosovo was declared independence. But his followers are alive, the members of the LDK, citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, because he never diminished the importance of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo towards a member of his party, who so deliberately wanted him to lead him before”, Mustafa said.

He said they should work and keep in touch with the international factor, which at any moment has been found near us, and, as he said, Ibrahim Rugova has built special relations with the US.

We will in no case lose this friendship, we will not replace it with anything, with no partnership. Because this isn't about our symbolics, it's about our survival, our country, because we built this country with the U.S. in all its” stages.

Mustafa said close to 100 recognitions have been realised thanks to US support and engagement.

Today we have the presence of the American Army in Kosovo. Today we have the American presence at KSF. Today we have the American presence in the police. Today we have the American presence in every realm of state building, and we want this presence to be even greater”, Mustafa said.
