Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has held meetings with health and security officials Sunday morning. The Spaniards prepare for a possible extension of their country's state of emergency.
Sanchez is expected to address the nation in a televised speech later Sunday, CNN writes.
The decision comes at the time when the number of deaths in the coronary has reached 394 within one day, as the Spanish Health Ministry has reported.
“We have difficult days before”, Sanchez said at a television conference Saturday.
We need to prepare from a physical and emotional perspective. We have to get to the end of next week to be strong, very strong. Danger is everywhere”
Spain has been isolated and placed in a state of emergency since Friday, March 13th, respectively. Initially, the period of emergency was expected to take 15 days.
