As far as the airline between Kosovo and northern Italy -- the most affected part by the Coronavirus -- has been cancelled, from other parts there are bus lines.
Flights carried out Thursdays and Sundays to Italy from Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari” have been cancelled. Thus has the official announced relations with the public at Pristina Airport, Bujar Gashi.
He said the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment has made this decision.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment has decided to ban flights from northern Italy, respectively, from Verona. We've had flights from this town twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays”, said for RTV Dukagjin, Bujar Gashi.
But unlike airlines, bus lines to Italy have not been interrupted. Tourist agency manager Saba Travel Driton Bytyqi says it poses no danger because of the small number of travelers.
“Italy-Pristina is now twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. We don't have much flow right now. At the moment, we are not willing to stop these lines, as we do not need to make this decision, but if institutions see how necessary we ourselves would stop the journey. We don't have a large inflow like a plane that could come from Italy, we have very limited numbers of travellers”, said Driton Bytyqi.
Meanwhile, as a continuing safeguard at border points are mobile teams of doctors, in case there are suspicious persons. Otherwise, until now in Italy there are over 230 victims of virus corona, about 60,000 people are infected.
