In a video message on Twitter, she specified that the proposal excludes all those who reside in the EU, members of the family of citizens of member countries, diplomats and staff, such as doctors, nurses and experts who help stop the coronary, as well as people who carry goods.
It announced that limiting Schengen entry would last 30 days and could be extended as needed.
The EC president estimates that by reducing social interaction, the spread rate of the virus will also decrease.
