Ambassador Apostolava has said the European Union is closely following recent political developments in the country.
“We are closely following the ongoing developments in Kosovo. The current unprecedented situation of the COVID-19 blast calls for consensus, political unity and common goal in crisis” has said Apostolova for Telegrafi.
According to her, at this time political parties should have unity for the welfare of the people.
The political parties must take first of all care of the well-being of the people of Kosovo over any party interest” has said Apostolova.
By contrast, at the time that the whole world and individual states are dealing with the issue of managing the situation following the outbreak of pandemic with COVID-19, in Kosovo the political crisis has erupted between coalition partners Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo.
This came after Prime Minister Albin Kurti has fired Interior Minister Agim Veliu, who, in addition, said he has spread panic among citizens with statements of coronavirus.
Otherwise, the LDK has not introduced its departure from the government and launched a motion that has so far been backed by the AAK and NISMA Social Democrat for the collapse of Kurti Government.
