Conform of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo's decisions on taking additional measures after confirming positive cases with Coronavirus COVID-19), the National Centre for Border Management has announced that it has begun implementing the decision to close borders for foreign citizens who want to enter Kosovo. Through a post on the official site, the National Centre for Border Management (QKMK) reports that closing the border does not apply to Kosovo citizens.
All Kosovo citizens who enter through border checkpoints will undergo increased medical checks at the order that they self-isolate for 14 days.
“From March 16, 2020, becomes the temporary suspension of all air travel lines at Pristina Airport, in addition to military flights, and medical emergencies (MEDIVAC). Exceptions make incoming travel lines with crews, but without travellers serving only to evacuate travellers from #Kosovo”, the announcement said.
