Study published in “magazine Science” shows that the virus targeted a certain type of receptor found in human cells in the lungs, heart, kidney and intestine.
An earlier study found that the protein of the virus has two receptors, one link, and the other receivers. These allow the virus to connect with human cells and invade them.
According to the new research, the virus targets the ACE2 human receptor that is linked to the amino acid transporter. This receptor structure subtype ACE2 was never discovered before.
The virus uses the moving field to connect to the structure ACE2, which allows the coronary to enter and infect the cell.
Scientists hope that their discovery will help find a vaccine that prevents infection from affecting human cells.
