All that has been known so far for the Coronavirus in Kosovo

After confirming nine positive corruption cases in Kosovo, Government has declared a state of public health

This following the Health Minister Arben Vitita's proposal, which announced that from March 13th, when the first case was recorded, nine cases of coronarys have so far been confirmed across Kosovo's territory.

The year through a Facebook post, announced that four new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Kosovo, marking the first case in the Podujevo municipality.

Only within today have three other cases been recorded in Malisheva, which involved the first case confirmed yesterday, and the next case in Podujevo, which is known to have arrived from Italy on March 5th, through Pristina International Airport “AdemJashar”.

Even though numerous precautions were taken until the arrival of this virus in our country, the situation changed during these three days, the first three countries affected by this deadly virus, Vitia, Kline, and Malisha, with the government's decision, were quarantined, not allowing either one of these two countries to enter or leave, but this is expected to happen soon in Podujevo.

On the other hand, the government opposition has criticised Government for what they call, without the responsibility it has shown in preventing the spread of this epidemic in our country, as travelers who have come from areas affected by coronarys, such as Italy, have not originally entered quarantine, which they think has even distributed this virus in Kosovo.

As reported, since February 23rd, the number of citizens returned from Italy to Kosovo was 127. Meanwhile, control by Kosovo authorities had been too small, without adequate testing for this virus.

After the severe panic which took the whole country these days, which led many to come out to buy essential products as flour, sugar, 13 March seems to have caught everyone prepared.

Various decisions have been taken so far, such as the closure of all shopping centres, besides food and pharmacies, the closure of restaurants, pubs and cafes, the closure of all educational institutions, and the reduction of workers in other state institutions.

Also, there was the disinfectation of all of the <x0 bus-trace Urban”, even at Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari”, which also suspended all trips abroad.

It has even been reported on the suspension of jungles for Islamic believers, where BICH became known to have also suspended all meetings as poor, except for mortar ceremonies, where the number should be reduced.
