BMW executive head Oliver Zipse will hold on the internet a conference for the worldwide debut of a new car called BMW Concept i4 on Tuesday, when the presentation in Geneva would take place. “Sorry that the exhibition will not take place as usual”, the BMW said. Bentley also plans to undertake an online conference, but the luxury car manufacturer is still working on the deadline and logistics. “Bentley welcomes the show abort decision this year. It's in the interest of the health and security of participants as well as all of our colleagues”, the company said. Porte also plans to hold a network conference on Tuesday to introduce the new model of the main 911 series.
According to Reuters, Audi and Mercedes are expected to introduce their cars online as well. Fiat Chrysler said he's assessing the alternative way to debut cars that were planned for the show. Fiat was expected to introduce a fully electric car. The car show in Geneva was canceled after Switzerland announced on Friday that it would stop all public or private events gathering more than 1,000 people to curb the spread of the coronary.
