It was his son who took the kingdom out of the union in January. Boris Johnson's sister Rachel recently published a book entitled “Rachels Progress”.
In this book, she says Stanley Johnson, a former Yugoslavia, voted to stay in the EU, while never withheld his stance against his son's role.
He applied for a French passport, as his mother, Irene, Boris's grandmother, was born in Versailles. His grandmother lived in Paris for several years. According to him, these reasons may be sufficient for his request to be accepted.
The Sunday Times writes that another reason Stanley wants to get a French passport may be the wish that his grandchildren, in a future, work and live in the EU, after Brex. The British prime minister has not yet spoken about the matter, due to the coronary pandemic.
