Kosovo is among the few countries in the world that have still escaped the dangerous disease.
Rukiqi says it is a daily issue when Kosovo is expected to face the first cases.
“In the event of any local or wider panic, Kosovo has flour reserves that can be emptied within a short period of time. So I propose to the Government and other institutions of importance for national security, in addition to health measures, to design a series of preventative and pro-active measures, for all the scenarios of the coronary effects, including closing borders and recession at a global level”, Rukiqi writes on Facebook.

Coronavirus, the consequences are our enemy, what reaction we should have
It is a matter of days when we are expected to face the first cases of Coronavirus in Kosovo;
The world economy is panicking for a new recession;
The Stock Exchanges have been marking the most dramatic cloud since 2008;
Overall sectors, are affected by the short and long-term effects of Coronavirus, including tourism, food industry and supply chains, especially from Asia;
The outbreak of the virus in Europe has prompted the intervention of drastic measures, in most European countries, including the possibility of closing borders;
The closure of borders, we need to increase mobilization to the maximum degree, because we have a high dependence on imports;
Just one example: In the event of any local or wider panic, Kosovo has a supply of flour that can be emptied, within a short period of time;
So I propose to the Government and other institutions of importance for community security, that along with health measures, they design a series of preventative and proactive measures, for all scenarios of the effects of Coronavirus, including closing borders and recession at a global level. We're ready to help.
