Demhaaj in an interview at the Info Magazine of Kosovo stressed that the dismissals relate to Ambassador Citaku, who according to him is a “bridge very strong between President Thaci and the White House”.
“Kurti is trying to fight Thaci in all ways, downplay his role in Kosovo- Serbia, even through these circumstantial actions that are being undertaken”.
As for its statement Ambassador Citaku, who in some form accepted his departure from the post, Demhasaj said it is a positive decision.
Be aware that there is a disagreement between the president and the government, its reaction is understandable. The Kosovo Embassy in Washington is one of the most important embassies because the ambassador representing Kosovo in the US also represents it in the United Nations Organisation. As a matter of fact, I accept this as good, if you don't have the consent of the foreign minister and the prime minister, and it's only for the president to function”.

Demhaja also spoke of the meeting between President Hashim Thaci and his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vuciq, in which he said the main points of the Kosovo-Serbia final agreement may have been presented.

Otherwise I see no reason why the president wants to report before the Assembly, to MPs.
